SOMIC wins the 2025 Krones Apprentice Football Cup
Impressive team effort: SOMIC apprentices bring home the trophy
On June 27, 2025, under perfect summer skies, Krones AG hosted its annual Apprentice Football Cup at the grounds of Sportbund DJK Rosenheim. Twelve teams made up of young professionals from various regional companies came together to compete in a day filled with energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Among participants from companies such as Alpma, Ericsson, Stadtwerke Rosenheim, Auto Eder, and Schattdecor, SOMIC joined the tournament for the very first time.
Traveling with 27 apprentices and 3 trainers, SOMIC made a strong impression from the start. Backed by enthusiastic support from their own team, the players delivered an outstanding performance — winning eight out of nine matches and proudly taking home the trophy.
Beyond the competition, the event offered plenty of time to connect, relax, and enjoy the day together. With fries, currywurst, iced coffee and cold drinks available, the sidelines were filled with good vibes and laughter all around.
