Politics as a guest - Daniela Ludwig visits SOMIC Amerang

Amerang, 29.07.2024 - "In dialog with the economy" - this was the motto of a visit at SOMIC. Member of the Bundestag Daniela Ludwig and other CSU party members were guests at our company. Right at the beginning, Ms. Ludwig thanked her for the opportunity to visit the company and emphasized that the dialogue between politics and business has become increasingly important recently.
Company owner Patrick Bonetsmüller thanked Ms. Ludwig for the opportunity for conversation "especially in these wild times" and gave a brief overview of the planned program.
During the informative tour through the company, the modern and intelligent storage system with the use of robots and maximum use of space met with great interest. The tour then moved on to the assembly departments and finally to the commissioning hall, where the finished machines are tested under live conditions and approved by the customer before delivery. Guests were able to discover not only the new SOMIC 434 machine series, but also SOMIC's latest innovation, the CORAS collecting and grouping system. This works on a magnetic levitation basis - aptly described by our visitor as a "mini-Transrapid".
The event concluded with a small snack at the Luncheria, during which Mr. Bonetsmüller drew attention to the concerns and needs of entrepreneurs in today's world.
Ms. Ludwig promised, that she would take these suggestions into her political work and confirmed, that SOMIC is not alone in its desire for less bureaucracy and the withdrawal of various restrictive laws. It remains to be seen what the outcome of next year's federal elections will be.
We will see whether and how the conditions for companies will change after this election. In any case, it is important, that this dialog between politics and business takes place.
