SOMIC expands sales network

We are expanding our sales network with an agency in South Africa: With immediate effect, Guth South Africa, headquartered in Johannesburg, is taking over the representation for SOMIC's complete machine portfolio in the sub-Saharan markets.

The official handover of the dealer certificate by the management of SOMIC marks the start of the future close sales partnership with Guth South Africa. The machine specialist and trading partner has four locations in South Africa and serves all countries south of the Sahara from there.

"Through the partnership with Guth South Africa, we are relying on a proven expert for machine solutions for the food and non-food industry in Africa," explains our Managing Director Patrick Bonetsmüller, who travelled to South Africa with his wife especially for the signing of the trade partnership. "With its own production as well as assembly and installation capacities, Guth South Africa offers everything for a sound technical support of our future customers", Bonetsmüller continues. In addition, customers in the countries south of the Sahara can thus fall back on local service.

"We are pleased that with SOMIC we can now also offer machines that cover the end-of-line, i.e. the final packaging step before palletising. Safe and gentle packaging is becoming increasingly important to our customers. Automatic packaging of products in transport and display cartons will also continue to increase. With its broad machine portfolio, SOMIC is an ideal partner for this - for newcomers to automatic packaging and for companies that require higher performance," explains Andrew Johnson, Managing Director of Guth South Africa.
