Deployment and use of cookies

To make our Internet site user-friendly and optimally match it to your needs, we use cookies in certain areas. A cookie is a small file that is stored locally on your computer as soon as you visit a website. If you again visit the website with the same terminal device, the cookie indicates, for example, that this is a repeat visit. Cookies also allow us to analyse the usage of our website. The cookie does not contain any personal information and is not suitable to identify you on third-party websites, including websites of analytics providers.

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Fundamental/necessary cookies

These cookies are of fundamental importance for the functioning of our website. This includes for example the issuing of anonymous session IDs for bundling multiple requests to a Web server, or ensuring the error-free functioning of logons and orders.

  • Performance/statistics cookies

These cookies collect information on how you use our website (e.g. Internet browser used, number of visits, pages requested or visiting time on the website). These cookies do not store any information that allows personal identification of the visitor. The information collected by using these cookies is aggregated and thus anonymous.

Anonymised website tracking

Use of Google Universal Analytics

This website uses Google Universal Analytics, a Web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Universal Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your usage of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your usage of this website (including your IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

IP anonymisation has been implemented on this website, so that the IP address of the users of Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area is first shortened. The full IP address is only transmitted to a Google server in United States in exceptional cases and is shortened there. On the order of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your usage of the website in order to compile reports on website activities and render additional services to us related to the website usage and Internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Universal Analytics is not combined by Google with other data. You can prevent storage of the cookies by an appropriate setting of your browser software; we wish to inform you, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their fullest extent. In addition, you can prevent acquisition and processing by Google of the data generated by the cookie and related to your usage (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can block acquisition of data by Google Universal Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set which prevents future acquisition of your data when visiting this website: Deactivate Google Analytics

You can find further information regarding conditions of usage and data protection at www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at www.google.de/privacy.html.

We point out that this website uses Google Universal Analytics with the code extension "anonymizeIp" in order to guarantee anonymised collection of IP addresses (known as IP masking) and rule out direct relation to a specific person.

LinkedIn does not share any personal data with us, but offers anonymized reports on website audience and ad performance. In addition, LinkedIn offers the possibility of retargeting via the Insight Tag. Using this data, we can display targeted advertising outside of our website without identifying you as a website visitor.

The legal basis for the use of LinkedIn Insight Tag is your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DS-GVO and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. You have the option to revoke this consent at any time by adjusting your preferences in the cookie settings in our Cookie Consent Tool.
LinkedIn members can also control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. To avoid LinkedIn linking data collected on our website to your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website. To disable the Insight tag on our website ("opt-out") click here

We cannot exclude that LinkedIn also stores the collected personal data of website visitors on servers in the USA and uses them in the context of its own advertising measures.
