Ergonomic working conditions
The SOMIC 434 has been equipped with a new door concept to create optimum ergonomic working conditions and facilitate format changes. These doors extend over the entire height of the machine and can be opened 180°. This not only facilitates access, but also makes the best possible use of the entire aisle area around the machine. This creates additional safety while still allowing the doors to open fully.
The new frame design provides unobstructed access to the functional units and therefore ensures ideal ergonomic conditions for format changeovers, cleaning and maintenance. In addition, the new control and supply cabinet ensures even quieter working conditions.
Highly efficient format changeovers for short downtimes
Format changeovers are easier and more efficient than ever with the SOMIC 434. Thanks to the maximum degree of automation when changing formats and the universal quick-change technology, all format parts can be easily and safely changed automatically or without tools. This can achieve time savings of up to 70 percent. Downtimes are minimized and the efficiency of the packaging process is increased.

Combination of control and supply cabinet
One of the objectives of the SOMIC 434 was to optimise the machine’s noise levels as much as possible. By combining the control and supply cabinets, noise-generating components were relocated to a separate, soundproofed supply cabinet. As a result, the machine operates even more quietly and this also makes necessary maintenance work easier. The adhesive applicators are also located in the supply cabinet.
