Fully Automated Carton Erection with Outstanding Performance and Flexibility
Carton erectors are the first step into the world of automated end-of-line packaging and are particularly useful when products are manually packed into cartons. In the SOMIC KA, carton blanks are automatically erected and glued. The erected cartons can then be manually filled or handed over to an automatic filling station. By eliminating the manual folding process, the packaging process is significantly accelerated and simplified.

Our SOMIC KA automatic carton erector is designed for:
- for the production of open cartons and trays (with / without lid flap), cardboard boxes and cartons with mechanical locking (Click-Lock)
- for the production of flat crates, corner crates and double crates for cups
- for the production of flat, open trays and cartons
Our SOMIC KA carton erector is suitable for a wide range of products such as food and pet food as well as non-food and pharmaceutical products.
Machine process of the case erector
- The flat carton blank is taken from the magazine and precisely positioned on the vacuum conveyor.
- Next, the carton is accurately erected using a folding head and die, and glued with hot melt adhesive. For wraparound cartons, only the bottom flap is closed, while the lid flap remains open.
The combination of case erector and case sealer for seamless completion of wraparound packaging
The combination of carton erection and carton sealing forms the basis for an efficient packaging line. After the wraparound cartons are folded and glued by our SOMIC KA carton erector, they are transferred to the manual or fully automatic filling station, before being securely sealed and glued by our SOMIC VM carton sealer. This provides you with a complete solution that optimizes the packaging process from start to finish.
