Fascinating insights at the SOMIC Open Day

Beyond all expectations: Amid splendid weather conditions, over 2000 visitors made their way to SOMIC’s premises in Amerang on Saturday, 04.06.2016.

As early as 09:00, company founder and chairman Manfred Bonetsmüller was greeting representatives from the public sphere as well as bank representatives and managing directors from friendly regional companies. An impressive view awaited guests from the roof terrace of the new building. The company, which has 280 employees, is set to end the year in June with a new record turnover of 40 million Euros and is on track to keep growing.

The doors then opened to everyone from 10:30. There was information about training and careers, about SOMIC's clients worldwide, about various products packaged at SOMIC and about the company’s history. Visitors were then given the opportunity to gain excellent insights into the world of packaging, either on guided tours or on their own. One highlight was being able to watch two machines operating live in the new production hall at the end of the tour. The canteen was offering free snacks and cakes. By evening, 772.73 Euros had been collected in the donation basket. SOMIC plans to round this amount up to 1000.00 Euros and donate it to the flood victims in Lower Bavaria.

Visitor feedback was extremely positive. Thus, a highly successful SOMIC Open Day came to an end late in the evening.
